June 12th 2010 – Hot Colin rocks – my new bike is on the rocks

I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin, I hate Hot Colin.

I went cycling with Hot Colin today.  He bought himself an old second hand bike (or classic as he would call it).  After a number of misfortunes including stripping the threads on his crank (and I thought that it caused blindness) he got the bike going.  Today he left me for dust – he fed me grit from his back wheel.  I suspect my wife and her friends call him Hot Colin because of his cycling ability as well as his geekness in technology.  He tried smooching me with platitudes like “You’re not on your normal bike” and “I’m really exhausted” and “I couldn’t do this tomorrow” and the coup de gras “Don’t forget, you are a lot older than me”.  Hot Colin, Hot Colin!  More like complete bastard Colin!  Anyway   We’re out again in the morning and he has promised to be exhausted.

In my defence I was out on my friend Krys’ bike as mine was still missing it’s rear wheel.  They replaced the spoke last week and put on a new chain and replaced the bearings but it is still not right so the wheel has gone back and hopefully I’ll get it back next week.  All a bit annoying as the bike is not yet 8 weeks old.   Meanwhile I went to the bike shop today and borrowed a wheel, so tomorrow Complete Bastard Colin ……………………watch this space.
