My new tyres

Well, I got the bike back again. It was still a rough ride for my delicate bottom so Specialized bikes suggested a new saddle (only £86) but that didn’t change things so we tried new tyres.  Needless to say the ones I wanted weren’t in stock so they had to keep the bike again. Anyway that gave them time to fine tune the gears again.

So I went out on the bike with the new tyres the Roubaix Armadillo Elite folding tyre. Fantastic. Like a new bike (which it is). It is so much more comfortable on the road it’s brilliant. It’s better on the bum and the legs. The bike doesn’t feel as sharp as before or as fast but that might just be my perception – I seem to be hitting the same speeds on myGarmin.  Whatever – the pleasure is certainly worth the pain I’ll be missing.
